A unique and spectacular fundraising event is being organized on 25th April 2013.
The Syrian Supper Club was set up in July 2012 by three British friends, two of whom have lived in Damascus. Spurred by their love for Syria and her People, they decided to do what they can to help raise money for Syrians affected by the current crisis engulfing our beautiful Syria… and what better way to do it than through the delectable, scrumptious, and delicious Syrian food!…
The Syrian Supper Club have been organizing intimate and personalized dinner parties for their friends, who are invited to bring along their friends… and over some delicious Syrian dishes (some authentic, some invented, and some improvised!.), money is raised, and lively discussions would take place to see how the group can further help relieve the suffering of the people of Syria.
The Syrian Supper Club have teamed up with the renowned illustrator George Butler, whose inspirational drawings of Syria featured in programmes on the BBC and CNN, and articles in The Guardian and Time magazine, to organize this event.
The event, Hands Up For Syria, will take place on 25th April 2013, at the distinctive Reliance Square. The organizers are hoping to raise £30,000 for projects sponsored by Syria Relief, such as bread production and distribution in the north of Syria, and the financing of a local hospital.
The evening promises to be a very special one. There will be an auction, with lots to bid for beyond your wildest dreams, including Syrian art, exotic holidays, seats at the most sought after restaurant tables and a host of other wonderful things… And to make it even easier for donors to contribute, the Syrian Supper Club have created a dedicated MyDonate page for this event, allowing you to demonstrate your support by donating on-line.
Be part of this unique experience. Join The Syrian Supper Club at Reliance Square on 25th April 2013… and bring along your friends. More details about the event, and on how to book your tickets, can be found on the event’s page on The Syrian Supper Club website.
