One of the Trustees of Syria Relief has just returned from a trip to the Syrian borders with Turkey, where he personally delivered humanitarian aid to displaced people who have been stuck at the Turkish border.

During that trip, the Trustee also visited frontline hospital and medical care facilities, to assess their needs.  His report to the Board of Trustees will help shape our forthcoming projects and campaigns.  In fact, we have already started acting upon the findings of his report, and launched a number of campaigns.

For a start, we have launched an SMS campaign to raise money for the refugees and displaced people, which resulted in a magnificent response from our supporters.  The funds raised are already on their way yo help relieve the suffering of our people on the Turkish border.

We also launched a campaign to buy Medical Emergency Bags, and that too has already raised a substantial amount of money, which has been used to buy Emergency Medical Bags, at a cost of £45 each.  Each bag provides vital equipment and medications to save the life of an injured person.

Another campaign that has been launched as a direct result of this visit has already achieved magnificent results: We have purchased, equipped, and delivered a number of emergency ambulances to our colleagues in Syria, to help transport casualties in a safe and effective manner to local medical care points and frontline hospitals.  This campaign is still ongoing, and we continue to raise money for this vital issue.
