Our Donation Policy

While there are many excellent charities doing much vital work for refugees in regions just outside Syria, Syria Relief’s aid programmes are directly benefitting the people inside Syria. We can reach areas that most others can’t and usually these places are where we find those in the most desperate need.

Our very own teams deliver the aid and obtain feedback from the beneficiaries, which so far has encouraged us to believe that we are successfully achieving our goals – as much as the circumstances will allow. Our monitoring and evaluation policies have ensured that our programmes and projects are working very efficiently.

The UK website CharityChoice reports our donation breakdown. It shows for every £1 donated, 88.8p goes directly to our beneficiaries. 0.4p is spent on admin and 10.8p is spent on raising more funds. For every £1 that we spend on fundraising, £9.53 is raised.

If you donate to a particular programme or project/appeal of your choice, your donation will go only towards that programme. For General Donation/Most Urgent, we will select how donations are used.

Whichever of our projects you choose to donate to, this is our promise to you:

We will do everything we can to ensure that your donation has the greatest positive impact, and that it is spent appropriately and safely.

Our accounts are overseen by the UK Charity Commission and our fundraising is regulated by the Fundraising Standards Boards (FRSB). We promise to always be honest, open and accountable in our fundraising, so you can give with confidence. For more information, visit www.frsb.org.uk.
